I love it when my hubby gets creative in the kitchen.
I do most of the shopping and meal planning. But my darling husband cooks us an amazing hot breakfast every single morning.
And sometimes, he makes incredible treats!
These truffles are amazing! The sweetened condensed milk gives them the melt-in-your-mouth texture that ganache truffles do. But the broken biscuits make them crunchy too.
In-credible.
And best of all…
They’re super simple to make.
No cooking.
No cooling.
Just mix it all together and you have a delicious treat ready to go!
If you’re low on time, these would make a great treat for a bring-a-plate party or a school bake sale.
And no one would ever guess how quickly you made them!
My wonderful husband has made you a beautiful video tutorial.
And I’ve even created a pretty printable PDF version of the recipe that you can download.
So just print it off and get started!
Introducing…
Steve’s Super Simple (And Delicious) Chocolate Coconut Truffles.
EQUIPMENT YOU’LL NEED…
•A clean tea towel (to break the biscuits in)
•A rolling pin (or something else to smash the biscuits)
•A spoon (to mix it all together)
•One medium sized bowl (to combine ingredients in)
•One small bowl (to roll the truffles in coconut)
• A bowl or platter (for the finished truffles)
INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED…
•One packet Marie or Arrowroot biscuits
•400mL can of sweetened condensed milk
•Half a cup of shredded coconut
•Two tablespoons cocoa powder
TO CREATE YOUR (DELICIOUS) TRUFFLES YOU…
•Open up the tea towel. Break any big bits of biscuit by hand.
•Use a rolling pin to crush the biscuits. Start by using gentle pressure. Once the biscuits have broken a little, you can hit them harder.
•Wrap the tea towel around the biscuits so they don’t escape.
•Place the entire packet of biscuits into a clean tea towel.
•Put the biscuits in to a medium sized bowl.
•Add a quarter cup of shredded coconut and two tablespoons of cocoa powder.
•Mix the dry ingredients until well combined.
•Add the can of condensed milk. Mix well.
•In a small bowl, add one quarter cup of shredded coconut. You will roll the truffles in this soon.
•Now, scoop out enough mixture to make one truffle ball. They’ll be roughly the size of a golf ball.
•Use your fingers to squish the mixture together. Then place the mixture in the palm of your hand. Gently roll in between your palms to round out the truffle ball.
•Finally, put the truffle in to the bowl of coconut and roll it around to cover it.
•Set that truffle aside. Repeat until all truffle balls are made
